Short Description of Activity

We joined KS Wild volunteers, USFS staff and interns, and Americrps volunteers at the Mike’s Gulch Botanical area near Eight Dollar Mountaiin to repair and/replace a “buck an rail” fence that separates Eight Dollar Mtn road from the serpentine meadow that is of critical concern for the purpose of discouraging “off-roading” vehicles during the rainy season on sensitive areas of soil and plants, USFS special designation land.

Reflection/Evaluation

We met our goal of a quarter mile of the fence. More to come. This is the Broads 3d year with this 6 year old project.
