Short Description of Activity
SUNDOWN – A SALUTE TO GORDON LIGHTFOOT ON HIS 85TH BIRTHDAY – A BENEFIT FOR COLUMBIA RIVERKEEPER: concert held at the Alberta Rose Theater, Portland Oregon to raise money for the Columbia River Keepers. The performers played for free, and all proceeds went to the Columbia River Keepers. Film was shown about the CRK, who they are and the work they do in preserving the river, the Salmon and working towards the clean-up of nuclear waste from the Hanford.
Reflection/Evaluation
It was a sold-out event with wonderful performances from local folk musicians, organized by a musician that played with Lightfoot..
A wonderful evening and a great way to support an Indigenous organization that has made a huge impact on river and salmon issues and trying to make government accountable for the Hanford.
