Outcome 1: cards and ornaments (65 cards and ornaments)
Short Description of Activity
The Cascade Volcanoes gathered for a potluck and ornament decorating event to advocate for mature and old-growth forests on federal public lands. Ornaments and cards with positive messages will be sent to decision-makers in the White House CEQ, USDA, and DOI. These packages will then be hand-delivered by volunteers in Washington D.C. Here in Clark County, we have a similar issues regarding old growth and mature forest, and it was decided a box will be delivered to County Commissioners.
Reflection/Evaluation
We started out with a potluck lunch and then the creative juices flowed. A very upbeat and fun time for all, getting into the holiday spirit with a very important purpose.
