Short Description of Activity
Our Broad book group met 4 times this year.
We read:
Eager by Ben Goldfarb,
This Land by Christophe Ketcham
Radical Joy for Hard Times by Trebe Johnson
Where the Salmon Run by Trova Heffernan
and another time we just had a Potluck and shared excerpts from books we are reading about the environment.
A few of us recently attended a book signing of the book Salmon Cedar Rock and Rain with Tim McNulty and David Guterson
Reflection/Evaluation
The book group remains the best attended activity in the South Sound Broadband and is, therefore, an important means of informing us of issues relevant to the Broads public work as well as keeping our local group alive. New members whose location fall in to our area (south Puget sound region/Rainier) have not indicated any interest in becoming active in the Bookgroup as yet.
In Mary Taylor’s absence since late summer, Annie Cubberly has been the focus point for this activity and Broadband presence in the south Sound.
