Short Description of Activity
Cooperating with the Forest Service and Oregon State University to identify and plan the scope of a wilderness monitoring project. Gathering data and information and writing the proposal. For this report, the activity is the grant writing, the pre-activity hours are the work invested to connect with the partners.
Reflection/Evaluation
Lynn and Maya started trying to gather information, numerous telephone calls and emails were initiated, but it wasn’t until 10 days before the grant application was due, that the scope of work was identified and data shared to prepare a grant proposal. Yes, the grant was submitted on time and it was fully funded, but the process was frustrating. And in retrospect, there was nothing on the Broads part that could have changed the outcome.
