Outcome 1: Volunteers Trained (12 people)

Short Description of Activity

Three Forest Service managers directed volunteers to become proficient with the App: Field Maps and to understand the details of the data collection. All volunteers spent time downloading the app and trying to learn how to use it prior to the training. Some volunteers had significant challenges using the app and understanding it. Follow up was offered.

Reflection/Evaluation

Lynn and Maya attempted to get an early start to working with the Field Maps app but it wasn’t made available until 2-days before the training. The on-site training was important but the time was too limited to become proficient.
