Short Description of Activity
We used all or portions for several meetings to discuss the many issues related to the SEIS alternatives proposed for the SEIS documents for both the Grand Junction Field Office and the Grand Valley Field Office after making changes required by a law suit. Much of our discussion focused on the ACEC proposals and the one WSA proposal. Members shared stories of their experiences in the ACEC areas and we listened to Scott Braden from Colorado Wildliands Project describe his exploration of the WSA proposed.
Reflection/Evaluation
The discussions were very helpful and expanded our knowledge of the various ACEC areas and Scott helped us understand the WSA,
Chris’s description of how to make good comments, and what qualities were needed for an area to receive ACEC designation was very helpful.
My own comments focused on the ACEC areas that I had been to and the qualities tin each that deserved protection
