Short Description of Activity
Local constituents speaking k from their heart and share their personal experience about why they would appreciate Rep. Neguse standing up for Utah’s red rock. I highlighted cultural resources protection and partnering with tribes after describing participation in a volunteer archeology project last year. I also mentioned that ARRWA makes a significant contribution to mitigating the climate and extinction crises by protecting wilderness and moving us . closer to the goal of protecting 30% of U.S. lands by 2030.
Reflection/Evaluation
It went well. Both staffers were listening closely and engaged. They expressed interest about the impact of different types of recreation on the lands included in the proposal. Abbie committed to bringing up the Red Rocks Act with the representative. It was good to see other Fort Collins/Front Range persons on the call. Jim Young (call facilitator) gave a shout out to Broads as an ongoing partner in supporting and developing ARRWA.
