Short Description of Activity
Six members of the Grazing Monitoring Committee met with the Silver City District Ranger, the Range Conservationist and the Forest Hydrologist to talk about the Gila Bird Conservation Area, an exclosure we have been monitoring for 4 years that has had a chronic trespass grazing problem. We talked about the problems and some possible solutions.
Reflection/Evaluation
The meeting helped build good relationship with the FS while letting them know about the need for more proactive management of the exclosure, including fixing fences and gates.
