Reflection/Evaluation
This is an issue that is long past due. The 1892 Mining Act gives way too much latitude to mining interests to mine on public and, in some cases, even private lands, with no payment to the country for public lands drilling. Past mines have almost never been properly cleaned up by the companies that made the mess. This should be a priority for us.
