Short Description of Activity
Due to weather we had to condense our meeting to address the most pressing issues with a follow up date to follow. We did this via zoom and were able to have Emily join us to see what our retreats are like.
Reflection/Evaluation
Primary focus was to set dates for Art Pope’s fundraiser event as well as broadchats – dates and subject matter. Some discussion regarding how to engage our membership more which will be an ongoing discussion. The immediate advocacy issues we are working on are : Northwest Forest Plan Amendments; Comments for Old Growth protections; Mt. Home Airforce Base (flyovers over Owyhee Canyon lands); GTX pipeline; Elliot Research Forest Issue; Blue Forests; BLM rulemaking; Owyhee Monument Campaign. Pam brought up getting more involved with wolf issues. Mary working on bridge issue over the Deschutes. Grazing is ongoing. While we are looking at capacity and trying to keep our focus on what is doable, there is a lot on our plates. Looking at ways to educate our membership with advocacy issues.
