A community educational presentation regarding Wildfire mitigation practices in Deschutes County. There was also a lot of Q & A.
Reflection/Evaluation
DId not learn anything new, it really seemed more like a dog and pony show for the Forest Service. There were new people to the area which complain about the smoke in the summer, so they got to know why prescribed burns happen when they happen. Personally seemed like a lot of smoke and mirrors and once again why “thinning” is necessary. Did recognize that Ponderosa trees are fire resistent.
