Short Description of Activity
The Uncompahgre is sampled monthly at a specific site in Confluence Park. Preparation work was done on 1/18/24, sampling and multiple protocols done (oxygenation, pH, alkalinity,hardness) on 1/19/24 as well as findings uploaded to River Watch on- line site, metal samples were packed and mailed with paper data on 1/22/24. Also on 1/25/24 River Watch staff came to Delta to evaluate volunteer’s reliability and consistency in doing protocols as well as knowing other required information.This process is essential for assuring that data from volunteers is likely to be accurate and useful.
Reflection/Evaluation
The goal is to regularly produce data that will be useful to decision makers and protect the safety of our rivers. Sampling and River Watch evaluation both were successfully conducted. Goal is being met.
