Short Description of Activity
Doran, Laurie, Kris, Nancy, Jane, Roxie, Sarah, and Linda B. planted shrubs and trees at Steigerwald National Wildlife Refuge.
Reflection/Evaluation
We planted a combination of Black Cottonwood trees and Oregon Grape, and Mock Orange plants along the estuary at Steigerwald . Kris brought her husband’s boot by accident, but Doran saved the day with an extra pair of size 9.5 in the car! Whoo Hoo, Doran! Nancy brought some outstanding homemade chocolate chip cookies to share which were quickly gone. Sarah got the Bad Ass Broad Award for planting the most species (52) all by herself. It was a lovely dry day with no rain and we were done by 11am!
