Short Description of Activity
Major discussion regarding Biomass as well as artificial turf.
Reflection/Evaluation
Very open conversation regarding the messaging that is going on regarding biomass as a “green and renewable resource”. All the factors around biomass has not been truthful to the public. They are taking more than slash pile, actually logging areas and it is not sustainable. The biggest issue/concern is that the majority of these products are being shipped overseas, not being used in the US. These companies also rely on a lot of subsidies to operate. Need to keep this issue on our radar as little is known or shared for folks to pay attention to.
