Short Description of Activity
Carolyn, Micky, and Laurie discussed the plan for the Mount St Helens Regional Broadwalk.
Reflection/Evaluation
We decided that MIcky would ask Susan Saul to present on 8/8/24. Carolyn has already received confirmation from Jon Majors and Gordon is definitely interested in joining Jon to discuss geology of the region. Larry and Carolyn will present as well. Sean is no longer working for CFC so he will not present but he is in the Portland area and would love to attend. Laurie will send him an invite after the regional Broads are signed up. As far as hikes go, there are really only 2 hikes available nearby: The Hummocks and the Coldwater Lake hikes. We still are working on the Dance Party and sing along. Maybe jornaling/yoga/ and oral history project as well as speaking about nature are possible topics for the event. We will be shopping and providing breakfasts and MSHI wil provide dinners. Participants will be asked to bring either a dessert or appetizer of their choice (not both). Laurie still needs to organize the “Things to do while visiting Mount St Helens” to include restaurants/museums and organize them. The rough draft is included below.
