Short Description of Activity

Went to see the movie premiere “The Power of Ceremony: Earths Teachings for Future Generations”
Indigenous Elders and spiritual leaders speak on their wisdom and knowledge to the healing of Mother Earth and Her inhabitants.

Eight wisdom keepers from diverse traditions guide audience into the world of ceremony and spiritual renewal. They urge us to remember who we really are – that if we go back in time far enough, we all come from a culture of ceremony that, if applied today, can restore us to balance.
The movie was followed by questions and discussions.

Reflection/Evaluation

Movie was beautifully done, and audience discussion and questions were interesting.
The message I felt was that we have all become so urbanized and much of it through technology have lost our spiritual connection not only to ourselves and others but also to the earth and our surrounding environment.
Recently I attended a ceremony by the Palouse tribe that was the true essence and power of ceremony.
