Short Description of Activity
Meeting with Colorado bighorn advocates and organizations to strategize advocacy for herds statewide; communication with local and regional advocates re: updates with herds, data collection, collaboration, potential meetings with agency personnel; purchase of additional optics for monitoring project, submitting warranty/registration information for our collection of optics, communication with national office and partners re: use/disbursement of grant funding, communication with NSJBB leadership team regarding expenditures and priorities.
Reflection/Evaluation
Continue to benefit/learn from and contribute to collaboration with partner organizations, though our collective advocacy seems to move slowly perhaps due to how busy everyone is or struggles to schedule meetings with decision-makers or the fact that many of our partners are wildlife specialists or policy people with less experience in community organizing/advocacy. Relieved to have the NSJBB optics organized and warranties on file and distributed to national office and NSJ leadership team.
