Short Description of Activity
4Corners Broadband attended the Earth Day Clean Up organized by Southwest CO Canyons Alliance and BLM staff at Sand Canyon Pueblo in Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.Three of us planned a hike at Sand Canyon Pueblo at our first week of the month planning meeting. The Canyons group had to move their clean-up from the south end of the trail to the north end. Broads could not hike past a clean-up on Earth Day, so we joined in! Both groups said that they were very happy to work with Broads. 5 of us helped clean up a campsite and remove fire rings. Then we went out to lunch to say our goodbyes to Shelby who is moving to the UP.
Reflection/Evaluation
We have decided to have a breakfast meeting each month to plan monthly activities. Anyone can help lead an activity each month that they are available. We’ll have shared leadership and those that show up often will be welcome to become Co-leaders. In January, we had a January Meet Up. We had 6 people show up. We shared information provided by John Rader on the Salter Y logging project. That should help us keep active even with Broads vacationing over the summer.
