Short Description of Activity
, Sallie (Leadership Team) and Melanie and Robyn (active Broads members) Broads attended meetings with a group of conservation organizations about the Scoping Comments for the BLM Uncompahgre Field Office Resource Management Plan Amendment. There were a lot of public lands issues to comment on, and NSJBB decided to concentrate on ACEC Nomination for the Roubideau-Potter-Monitor area, since this is of great passion to Melanie Rees. Sallie assisted Melanie in writing and submitting the letter. Sallie also sent in a few comments to the group on other aspects of the projects, and NSJBB signed on to the 30-page comment letter as one of the 18 signatories.
Reflection/Evaluation
Always good to work with a group of dedicated folks (especially when at least some of them have paid positions to put in the time necessary to review and write comments). NSJBB decided to focus on only one aspect of the entire RMP since resources are limited. It was nice to be able to support a very interested and knowledgeable member who knew well the needs of the specific ACEC we addressed.
