Short Description of Activity
Zoom call for Great Old Broads members. The Utah DNR did a presentation of the Southwestern Wilowl Fly Catcher, a bird which is endangered and it’s nesting habitat is here on the Virgin River in St George. We covered information on preferred nesting habitat and that fact the a fire 2 years ago wiped out much of the willows in the area.
Reflection/Evaluation
We wanted to give our members educational information on the Southwester Willow Flycatcher, why our area is so important to there nesting habits, and how we can help with re-establishing the willow habitat needed along the Virgin River
