Short Description of Activity
Living history performance arounds Northwest Coast Masks, Stories, songs and dances held in a traditional Kwakwaka’wakw Ceremonial Long House. Linda Buckley, Barb Fox Kilgore of the DEIJ committee attended.
The facility also had a collection of art and artifacts that shared the history, art and culture of the local and other Indigenous communities of the western states.
Reflection/Evaluation
Masks and dances illustrated the stories and songs that represented many of the Coastal Tribes.
A wonderful and entertaining experience.
Many families with children were in attendance. Wonderful opportunity for children/families to learn of other cultures.
Was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday night.
