Short Description of Activity
WWA organizes Solitude Monitoring volunteer efforts in these two forests. They provide several training hikes each season, but this was their first virtual training. They discuss the regulations that require wilderness areas to be regularly monitored, and explained the process and the trails that will be monitored this year
Reflection/Evaluation
I was pleased to see seven WHALES on the call, which is a significant expansion to our corps of solitude monitors.
