Regular meeting of the PNW Forest Brat….good turnout at this time.
Reflection/Evaluation
Went well. Discussed regional issue with forest policy, especially the eastside screens and concerns regarding biomass, as well as mature and old growth. Someone shared a book by Rand Schenk called “Forest Under Siege, The Story of Old Growth after GIffort Pinchot”. Requesting asked what the group would like to see in a National missions statement, what should it cover and how can it cover the entire US,not just the PNW. Discussion about biodiversity, ecological processes and rsilient forest and how that relates to fire. Looking at how to have some kind of panel regarding forest issues at the National Conference.
