Short Description of Activity
Beginning in January and continuing to the present, our Broadband Leadership Team has been involved in planning our Broadwalk at Deception Pass State Park on June 24th through 27th, 2024. By the end of April, we had held eight and a half hours of planning meetings between January and the end of April, our first Activity Reporting Period.
In addition, I met with Genia, Barb, Sally and Emily on Jan. 23rd and Genia and Barb two other times for a total of three hours. We discussed leadership issues and planning at these meetings.
Reflection/Evaluation
Our :Leadership Team Meetings have resulted in extensive planning for our June Broadwalk. We have 33 registered attendees. We have planned three stewardship activities, multiple hikes, and other exciting fun activities including kayaking, water color painting, and exploring tide pools at low tide. We are undertaking an advocacy project to protect the Deer Lagoon Preserve, a special bird sanctuary on Whidbey Island. We also have lined up six outstanding speakers to educate us after dinner on the three nights.
