Landscape/area: Roosevelt National Forest (814090 acres)
Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Trail/land monitored (3.2 miles)
Outcome 2: Hiked (06.4 miles)
Short Description of Activity
We monitored 4 campsites and Karen submitted the report to the Canyon Lakes District of the US Forest Service. I reported the number and location of down trees along the trail to Poudre Wilderness Volunteers crosscut trail crew.
Reflection/Evaluation
It was a calm day. The trail had 120 trees across it. The area was burned in 2020 in the Cameron Peak Fire. Tall lodgepole pine trees surround the trail. We did meet the goal of monitoring several campsites and found that some had become overgrown with vegetation or submerged in shallow ponds.
