Short Description of Activity

Convened 12 Great Old Broads and Bros, from several Broadbands (11 Oregon, and 1 Idaho resident), plus the Director of Friends of the Owyhee, to explore, strategize protection actions for campaign, shoot advocacy videos, write letters and post cards, and develop next step plans.

Reflection/Evaluation

We had an excellent time! Some small issues arose: ONDA staff representative had quit the week prior and did not come, I broke my trailer and was delayed a day in my arrival, and reporter did not show up. Also 4 people dropped out and did not come. .We did shoot several good video shorts, wrote many letters, and discussed many options for moving forward. Following the trip we held several demonstrations, took direct action, visited our Senator’s offices, and attended a town hall attendance where we were able to ask our question and press for National Monument designation. All in all, successful, inspiring and fun.
