Outcome 1: Hiked (12 miles)
Short Description of Activity
Three members hiked the Onahu Creek trail, Tonahutu Creek trail, and Green Mountain trail in Rocky Mountain National Park, west side. We camped at the Onahu Creek campsite after wading across Onahu Creek. We also used Seek app to identify shrubs and wildflowers.
Reflection/Evaluation
We wanted to learn and share information about backpacking, stream crossing, test gear, and see how we could have lightweight packs and still cover the miles we wanted and learn more about wildflower identification. This is to support backpacking to study diversity in the statewide CNHP project. We accomplished this goal.
