Short Description of Activity
We searched for 17 campsites in the Little Beaver Creek drainage with 4 women. We found no evidence of 13 sites and found 4. (one was new). We documented the condition of those 4, wrote a report and sent it and gps locations of all 17 to the FS manager.
Reflection/Evaluation
The hike was successful, as was the search for documented campsites. Sunny weather and breezes helped. We also found a large artifact and several plots of invasive canada thistle, one musk thistle, and one area of cheat grass in the burned forest. We reported those to the Forest Service, Canyon Lakes District as well. One hiker felt that the hike was too long, and was able to define a reasonable hike length for herself afterward.
