Short Description of Activity

Calls and e-mails with the Lobos of the SW coalition.

Reflection/Evaluation

The coalition continued lobbying for the release of ASHA and the Caldera Pack. Unfortunately the decision was made this week by USFWS to continue holding her in captivity and see if she mates and has pups next Spring. (Shades of J.D. Vance. You can’t have a childless wolf on the landscape).
Two new wolves are now in the Flagstaff area North of I-40, the political Northern boundary for the Mexican Wolf Experimental Population Area. The coalition is working to stop their capture by the USFWS to move them back to the MWEPA.
