Short Description of Activity
Five of our broadband members attended town hall meetings held by Main Stream NM regarding the state strategic water plan. They sought input on priorities and the planning processes and needs to “build a resilient water future” in the face of intensifying scarcity due to climate change and other factors. We were able to jot down our comments on-site and on-line. Our individual comments addressed topics such as water conservation, protecting streams, rivers (including Wild & Scenic status), and ephemeral water, and the overall planning process.
