Field Trip sponsored by Sierra Club Yavapai Group, Yavapai-Prescott Broadband, and Central AZ Wildlife Alliance as environmental partners. Jenny was the outings leader. There were 13 participants. We observed a herd of 13 pronghorn grazing on Town of Prescott Valley Grasslands. Speakers were Walt Anderson Phd (retired Prescott College Professor of Environmental Studies, CAWA), Greg Murray Phd (retired professor Zoology & Ecology), Joanne Oellers MA (Biology Instructor Yavapai College, CAWA founder, Broad), Jenny Cobb MS (Broads, Sierra Club Outing Chair, CAWA, and concerned citizens active in wildlife conservation.

Reflection/Evaluation

Great Outing. We shared information about grazing, development, Glassford Dells Regional Park, and other conservation issues, and what everyone can do as citizen scientists to preserve wildlife in Central AZ. Naturalist Walt Anderson educated us on the pronghorn. Our goal with these outings is to leave the public with knowledge and tips on how they can help make a difference with preserving pronghorns and their habitat.
