Short Description of Activity
attended lecture by Greg Beatty, US Fish & Wildlife, on the Southwest Willow Flycatcher. The talk included a lecture on Tamarisk and why it is not harmful.
Reflection/Evaluation
Fascinating! Especially learning the truth about tamarisk and its place in the ecosystem. In fact, the SW Willow flycatcher primarily nests in tamarisk in riparian areas. Tamarisk mimics the desert willow trees.
