Short Description of Activity
BRAT meeting to outline our comments regarding Old Growth and Mature tree protections.
Reflection/Evaluation
We have been given guidance, information from National of what they want to see in our comments. There was a bit of discussion as many did not agree with the direction or more specifically the particular Alternatives that National has chosen to address MOG. We will do our best to work around those guidelines adding very specific conditions that fit with Alternative 3 vs Alternative 2. Again, lots of discussion and concerns regarding wanting to be more firm with Forest Service due to our experiences in the PNW of trying to work with FS and not trusting their language that they use to get around loopholes and still continue to justify logging.
