Short Description of Activity
Because we see each other on the trails regularly, we don’t meet more than a couple of times a year. We met to plan the annual picnic, prepare for the wilderness tabling event, and discuss membership. I am considering requiring all WHALES to join Great Old Broads, and although the majority of the board seemed in favor, one member (who I can’t afford to lose) was very opposed. She is convinced we’ll lose members. When adding new members to the group I tell them that Broads membership is “strongly encouraged”, and that’s where I’m leaving it, for now.
Reflection/Evaluation
Leaders seem happy to get together a few times a year, though most of our group communication is through email. We are all so very active and I don’t want to waste anyone’s time.
