Short Description of Activity
Originally sent email to county commissioners regarding the 2040 Draft Comprehensive plan for the county. Ended up writing a letter to the editor.
Reflection/Evaluation
After sending an email to my county commissioners and then receiving an email that the commissioners were not allowed to read my email. WTF? I wrote a letter to the editor of local paper which also got great response from the community. To be told that I can’t be n contact with my county commmissioners is not okay. At their next meeting that was addressed and legal council advised commissioners that there needs to be transparency, but they must not take into consideration any additional input from the public. From there the meeting got even more heated. I shared all that information and advised the public to watch the video of this meeting , to attend the next coming meeting to be visible and also why in November to vote for two additional commissoners to be added to the co. commissioners (which they don’t want). Those additional commissioners would not run until 2026 whoever they are.
