Short Description of Activity

2 Broads from the Salish Sea BB (formerly North Oly Peninsula) joined Northwest Watershed Institute (NWI) and local student leaders from NWI’s Headwaters to Bay summer program to remove English ivy and marine debris along Tarboo-Dabob Bay, near Quilcene, on Aug. 16, 10 am-2 pm.

The project is part of an ongoing effort to restore wild salmon and wildlife habitat in Tarboo Creek and Tarboo-Dabob Bay.

Reflection/Evaluation

Project was enjoyable and worthwhile. Approx 10 large piles of invasive ivy was pulled and gathered, some from difficult terrain. Broads also gained one prospective member who just moved to the area.
