Short Description of Activity
We found and counted over 1,000 plants in one polygon and 7 plants of a different species in a separate polygon in 8 hours of careful searching. Followed by filling out a form detailing our findings.
Reflection/Evaluation
Two broadband members worked with one CONPS experienced botanist to look for rare plants. We hoped to learn to identify two species in the field, count the plants and make a report to CNHP and CONPS. We accomplished that. There are many other polygons to explore. It involved a 2.5 hour drive each way to the site.
