Short Description of Activity

second pronghorn education outing. 8 participants gathered in Drake Road pastures PNF (grasslands). We were lucky to spy a herd of 10 pronghorn right where we expected to find them. this herd comes down from I-40 to Drake Road pastures. We see them if we are coming back out form river monitoring towards evening. Speakers were Tom Slaback on everything, including forest, grazing, wildlife, air quality, landscape restoration, mining, etc. Greg Murray was our pronghorn expert. Next we stopped and hiked to the huge old exclosure then parked in front of Drake Cement and Tom talked about recent Drake issues.

Reflection/Evaluation

We were pleased with the outing. Kathy, Beth, and Rebecca spotted the pronghorn. Bro Russ drove me and Tom. Next pronghorn outings is Nov. 16. photos on my Facebook page
