Short Description of Activity
I did a solitude monitoring training with a new to us organization to see if it would be a good fit for the Willamette Valley Broads in the future. Training was a full day in June and we hiked the trail and monitored it in July.
Reflection/Evaluation
It was quite different from the training we’ve received from Troy Hall and the USFS. The staff person is very interested in training us for continued monitoring in the Drift Creek Wilderness which is considerably closer for many of our members than the areas we’ve been monitoring in the Willamette & Deschutes NF.
