Short Description of Activity

— Public comment was sent to Administrator Regan at the EPA urging them to designate vinyl chloride as high priority and to phase it out ASAP.
— Another request was sent to Administrator Regan urging them to reduce the amount of plastics being produced.
— A letter was sent to Procter & Gamble CEO Jon Moeller urging the company to reduce the amount of virgin wood fibers in tissue products by 50% or more by 2025.
— A note was sent to Mike Simpson, US rep from ID, urging him to support the RCAA and RIAA bills this year, thus prioritizing the recycling, reduction and reuse of plastics.
— Additional advocacy this month addressed the following issues: oil lease sales, strengthening the EPA, the Bristol Bay Protections Act in Alaska, Congressional support for the new Wildlife Corridors Legislation, the Amazon Rainforest, and Federal ESA protection for bears and wolves.
