Short Description of Activity
A celbration of the Friends of Malhuer but more specifically the 90th birthday of Alice Elshoff – one of the founding members of the local Broads chapter, involved in so many more conservation activites in the area than anyone else.
Reflection/Evaluation
Great turn out and Alice so humbly declined to take any credit for all the work she has done thru the years. She was/is instrumental in the Environmental Center in Bend, the original beginnings of the Bitterbrush Broads, and creation of the Friends of the Malhuer. It was wonderful to have her acknowledged. She also led the the challenge that we dealt with when the Bundy’s tried to take over the Malhuer Refuge with the “Grannies against Bullies” movement.
