Short Description of Activity
The Flower Clock: What Wildflowers Tell Us About Time
Join Susan Lamb as she explores the role of wildflowers as chroniclers of
light, cosmic timekeepers, with indications of time expressing far more
than the date on a calendar or the hand on a clock. The brief appearances
of wildflowers each year lend them the nature of messengers, emissaries of
joy, silent heralds announcing a truth beyond words, with messages that
unfold at the perfect pace just as the flower does, and we learn a new
sense of time. Susan shares how plant time goes beyond the abstract
constructs of calendars and clocks, to serve as a very real reflection of
the world and the relationships within.
Reflection/Evaluation
Great meeting. Lots of good feedback.
