Short Description of Activity
Participated, along with other AZ and NM Broadbands and environmental organizations, in review and comments regarding the Regional Special Use Airspace Optimization to Support Air Force Missions in Arizona EIS. This proposal includes additional flight impacts over lands in NM, including the Gila Wilderness – the first designated wilderness. We attended an overview meeting presented by Air Force staff/ contractors and asked questions. We participated with NM and AZ Broadbands in submitting a comment letter to the Air Force, and provided some input regarding that letter. Our Broadband also communicated with other environmental organizations in the area regarding this and the Great Old Broads for Wilderness signed on to that document. Several of us also added our names to other organization’s comments.
