Listening in on ONDA presenting at the Congressional Hearing regarding Monument status for the Owyhee Canyon Lands
Reflection/Evaluation
Unfortunately there were no Democrats at this meeting, room full of republicans, specfically Representative Cliff Bentz who opposes Monument status under no circumstances. Rory with ONDA did a great job making his points and standing his ground, but Bentz was attacking him and not allowing him to answer questions asked. At this point if it ends here and Bentz’s bill doesn’t go thru we are better off, knowing that we have worked on this for years and will continue to do so.
