Short Description of Activity
Spring seeking scouting hike for Carney Springs. We knew it was dry this time of year, but want to define one spring to “adopt” and monitor regularly.
Reflection/Evaluation
We found the waterfall pour-over place – a cave, and noted that probably the source of the spring is not there.
We plan to do more research with maps to determine if we can access the source or not. Even so, we plan another hike in the spring to see if the waterfall is flowing. We also found evidence of ancient people’s activities in another cave on the way to the waterfall area. We did not monitor anything at this point.
