Short Description of Activity
Extremely informative forum with 81 participants that covered everything from biomass/pellet plants, to climate change, to wildfire mitigation.
Reflection/Evaluation
Lots of discussion with the continued development of large biomass/pellet plants which are not green energy. Discussed DRAX as one company of concerns who harms communities with low income and people of color. They creat air pollutants with the dust which is being tied to cancer. Another big topic was the way of looking at thinning as a solution for forest fire mitigation without considering climate change as part of that problem. Was glad I was able to attend this.
