Reflection/Evaluation
The recently released 5 year evaluation of the recovery program by USFWS and AZGFD, states that they have surpassed their recovery goals.
It paints an untrue picture. The threats to the population due to lack of genetic diversity, illegal killings and prohibitions on wolf dispersal to suitable habitat are still poorly addressed or ignored after 25+ years of Mexican gray wolves in the wild.
