attended this meeting re increasing water for the Phoenix area in the future. about 112 stakeholders attending this zoom meeting. My colleague Sierra Club colleague Gary Bevely contributes comments so I was aware of this project. Gary out of the country for this meeting. Asked to attend by Sally. Reflection/Evaluation
Feasibility study projected for completion Spring 2026 – entire project 2041. Note. 18 years of measuring water flow on the Upper Verde predicts the first 25 miles of the river might disappear in 25-30 years with a downward trend of waterflow. However, water enters the Verde at many other points starting with Sycamore Creek. With climate change, will Phoenix even be livable in 25 years?
