Reflection/Evaluation
Very wonderful conference. Pretty timely given what is going on Nationally and the tearing apart of all things conservation. While the conference itself covered issues through out the United States, there were many workshops that addressed what we are working on in the North West. One workshop in particular which was standing room only had to do with NEPA. Left that workshop feeling more optimistic than going in. Bottom line is that NEPA is still the law of the land. NEPA is not regulations. Given information on how to continue to utilize NEPA. Also a workshop on Old-growth amendment, pretty much the message was be quiet, let it die right now so that it is not impacted by CEQ’s.
